supporting your wellbeing in and out of work

Dr Paula Redmond Clinical Psychologist

Has something happened at work that’s left you feeling very distressed and upset? Or maybe things have been creeping up on you for a while, and you’ve realised you’re really struggling.

Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed and stuck –  knowing you need to make a change but not sure how or what?

Or perhaps you just need a regular space to reflect on the impact of your job, and support to check-in on your own wellbeing.

If any of these scenarios resonate with you, I can help. Whether it’s weekly psychological therapy, monthly reflective supervision, or an assessment to get to grips with what you need I will tailor a support plan that meets your individual needs, drawing on a range of evidence-based models.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when do you offer sessions?

All sessions are online using Zoom. I offer sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 1.00pm, and Wednesdays between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appointments can be scheduled as needed, at a frequency that best meets your goals.

What type of intervention do you offer?

I am trained to provide a range of different psychological approaches. This enables me to develop a bespoke intervention plan based on your particular needs and preferences, as well as the evidence-base.  The models I use most often are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).  I enjoy using creative tools in my work and find this can be very helpful in opening up new ways of seeing things, so if this is something that appeals to you we can also explore this in sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

This is different for everyone, depending on your situation and what your goals are. Some people find that a handful of sessions is all they need, while others find it helpful to have ongoing support over a number of months.

What's the next step?

I offer a free initial 20 minute consultation which enables us to think together about what you need, and whether I am the right practitioner for you. Research shows that the most significant factor in the success of psychological intervention is the rapport we have with our practitioner. Although it takes time to develop trust in any relationship it is important that you feel this is possible.

It is also important to ensure that I have the right expertise for what you need. If I don’t think I am the best person to work with you I will signpost you to another therapist or psychologist.

If we decide to go ahead you can book sessions directly into my diary. Payment is taken at the time of booking.
